40 Fallout 4 Cheats & Hacks

Unlimited money, unlimited ammo, God mode, the ability to walk through walls. These are just a few of the Fallout 4 cheats and hacks that you can use to alter your experience in the wasteland.

While a lot of gamers won’t want to muck up the game using these Fallout 4 cheats, others might find them beneficial. You can always experiment with them and revert back if you decide that you want to play by the rules.

Fallout 4 is still new and we expect new exploits, hacks and cheats to emerge in the days ahead. For now, here is a list of more than 30 cheats and hacks that also include ways to get unlimited bobby pins for crafting and a way to survive falls from great distances.

Before you dive in, remember to save your game. Using console commands and exploits could negatively impact Fallout 4 and its performance so you’ll want to have a backup to go back to just in case something goes horribly wrong. Or you start feeling guilty.

To use Fallout 4 console commands with PC, you’ll need to open up the game’s console. To open up the console, you’ll want to use the tilde key (~) that’s next to the 1 key on your keyboard. (This differs based on where you’re located. U.S. gamers use ~.)

Once you have to console open, type in a command and press enter and then close up the console and have fun doing whatever it is you’re doing.

God Mode

God mode makes you impervious to damage. Great for when you’re taking on a Deathclaw or a group of wastelanders. That’s not all though.

It also grants you immunity to radiation and you can also breathe forever underwater. God mode also grants you unlimited ammo, carrying capacity, and AP (Action Points).

Take No Damage

If God mode is too much, you can also type in this command to simply become invincible to damage.

Immortal Mode

Or how about enabling Immortal Mode? With this enabled, your character will take damage but you won’t die. You also don’t get protection against radiation, unlimited AP points or unlimited ammo. Yeah, it’s kind of odd.

Walk Through Walls

With this enabled, you’ll be able to walk through walls and if you want to, walk way up high in the sky above the wasteland.

No Detection

The game will stop detecting your character which means that you no longer have to sneak around to steal items.

Unlock Doors, Safes & Terminals

If you want to be able to unlock any door, any safe, any terminal, or anything else in the game that’s locked, without using a lock pick, use this command.

Just remember that this command will not unlock doors that are locked from the other side.

Kill Everyone Nearby

killall

If you want to kill everyone around you, use this command. It will kill everyone except essential characters and companions so you don’t need to worry about Dogmeat taking a dirt nap.

Attach a Mod

attachmod <Mod_ID>

This command attaches a mod to the selected item.

Remove a Mod

removemod <Mod_ID>

This command removes a mod from the selected item.

Kill Something Specific

kill [Insert ID]

You can also kill someone or something specific. You’ll need to track down the ID of what you want to kill though.

Resurrection

resurrect [Insert ID]

You also have the power to bring things back to life. Type in this command to reanimate things that you kill in the wasteland.

Speed Up or Slow Down Time

set timescale to [Insert Number]

If you want to play around with time, you can. The default time in Fallout 4 is 16. So if you want to slow it down, use a number that’s less than that. If you want to speed things up to insane levels, use a number in the thousands.

Jump Really High

setgs fJumpHeightMin [Insert Number]

If you want to bound around the map using incredible jumps, this command will help you get that done. Try setting the number really high to see how far you can jump.

Just remember that you’ll go splat if you jump into the atmosphere and you don’t have invincibility or God mode on.

Run Really Fast

player.setav speedmult [Insert Number]

If you want to mimic Usain Bolt, you can do that too. If you want your character to run really fast, set this at a high number and take off. It would be a good idea to pair this with invincibility or God mode, just in case.

Hide UI Menus

If you don’t want to see any menus, either for screenshot purposes or something else, you can type in that command to disable the UI.

Change Your Sex

player.sexchange

If you’re getting bored of being a guy or a girl, you can switch it up in-game.

Get Tons of XP Fast

If you’re looking to level up in a hurry, take a look at the video below as it will show you how to acquire tons of points without breaking a sweat.

If you get the hang of it you can apparently earn your character 100,000 experience points every five minutes or so.

Succeed During Every Dialog

Sometimes, when you talk to characters, you’ll see a red, orange or yellow option. If you use one of those, and you’re successful, you’ll open up new dialog paths and you’ll gain XP.

If you’re charisma isn’t high, passing these isn’t going to be easy. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to be successful every single time.

When you see a color option in dialog, open up the menu and save your game. Try to pass. If you don’t, reload your game and try until you pass.

Spawn a Settler

player.placeatme 20593

If you need an extra settler to boss around, put that command into the console. Once they’re there, assign them a task with the Workshop interface.

Command Settlers

setpv bCommandable 1

Use this command to boss around settlers that you can’t normally boss around.

Increase Building Limit for Settlements without Console

Bethesda’s put a building limit on settlements. If you want to build past that, you can do so without having to use console commands.

The exploit can be seen in the video above and it should work on the latest patch. If you want to expand your horizons, this is worth a shot.

Unlimited Bottlecaps

player.additem 0000000f [Insert Amount]

Do you want unlimited money? Use this code to line your pockets with unlimited bottlecaps to spend and get that item you’ve always wanted.

You can also use the exploit in the video here. The exploit reportedly works on both the 1.4 update and the Fallout 4 1.5 update that arrives soon.

Max Out Your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats

player.setav STRENGTH 10

player.setav PERCEPTION 10

Using console commands, you can max out your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. You can exchange that 10 with any number of your choosing.

Unlimited Bobbypins

player.additem 0000000a [Insert Number]

If you don’t want to use the “unlock” command to quickly open doors and safes, you have another option at your disposal.

You can add an unlimited amount of bobbypins to your inventory if you use this command. Some people love picking locks in Fallout and this hack ensures that you’ll be successful.

Get Any Item Instantly

player.additem [Insert ID] [Insert Number]

You can also spawn any item in the game as long as you have the item’s ID number. We haven’t found a comprehensive list yet but there’s a quick way to find out the information yourself.

If you type in coc qasmoke you’ll be teleported to a weird room that contains some boxes. Know what resides in these boxes? Every single item in Fallout 4.

To figure out the ID of an item, open up the console using tilde (~) and click on the item of your choice. The ID should appear and you’ll be able to use that ID to spawn the item in-game.

Spawn NPCs

player.placeatme [Insert Number]

You can also spawn any NPC in the game. So if you found someone on your travels that you simply despise, you can spawn him or her right in front of you to kill again, and again, and again. You need the proper ID to do so though so track that down.

Flying Camera

This will enable a free flying camera that’s great for taking screenshots of the wasteland or simply exploring Bethesda’s world.

Turn AI Off

If you want to populate the wasteland with NPC zombies, turn the AI off. If you turn it off, characters will stand there without any emotion.

You can also turn the combat AI off if you’re sick of fighting.

Unlimited Resources & Items

Become a Giant

Want to become impossibly large? Try this.

Change Your Appearance

You can edit your character’s appearance on the fly if you use this command.

Boost Your Skills

player.modav [Skill] [Number]

You can boost any of your skills with this command. Simply add the name and a value and you’ll instantly become more powerful.

For example, player.modav [Intelligence] [10] will boost your Intelligence to 10.

Boost Your Level

player.setlevel [Insert Number]

If you want to boost your level up a little or a lot higher, use this command.

Add A Perk

player.addperk

If you want to add a specific Perk to your character, this command will help you get that done. Head here to see the full list of Perks in Fallout 4.

Get Every In-Game Location on the Map

This command will net you every single fast travel location in the game. Obvious spoiler alert.

Unlimited Carry Weight

This video will show you how to up your carry weight so that you can carry anything and everything around the Wasteland.

Survive Falls

If you accidentally (or purposefully) fall from great heights, you can save yourself if you save your game right before you hit the ground. Load up your game and your character will be safely on the ground.

Teleport

If you want to teleport to a different location without using console commands, try using this glitch from Gametastik.

It requires a few different steps but once you master it, you’ll be able to teleport with ease. Or until Bethesda patches this up.

Chem Redux

Chem Redux is an extremely popular Fallout 4 mod for PC that changes the look of the chems your character consumes on a regular basis.  Bethesda's vanilla chems look great but I'm enjoying this developer's take on stimpacks, Buffout, Psycho, and more. The new skins look like they belong in the game.  It's an excellent mod and one that would look and feel great on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Here's to hoping it gets ported at some point down the road. For more, take a look at the video below.
