With a $50 price tag, that pushes the total investment in the game to $90, not everyone is ready to buy the Season Pass, when it is essentially the cost of another game. If you have a limited gaming budget or are cautious about buying new content for games read on for a further breakdown.
In addition to buying the Season Pass for $50 you can buy the Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC pack alone for $15 or the Eclipse DLC 2 map pack alone for $15. If you buy each map pack alone you will pay $60 for all of them, which is $10 more than a Season Pass, but it also gives you the opportunity to read reviews for each and have more control. However there is a downside to only buying some of the map packs.
Many retailers sell the Black Ops 3 Season Pass for $50. The Awakening Black Ops 3 DLC arrived in February and March and the Eclipse DLC 2 in April and May. The Black Ops 3 DLC 3 maps arrive in July and DLC 4 is likely slotted into a Septembter release.

Unlike previous Call of Duty games where the novelty wore off after a few weeks, Treyarch managed to deliver a game with impressive amounts of replayability. After spending over 70 hours playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, I'm paid $1 or less an hour for the fun that the base game delivered to me by the time the DLC arrives. Gamers who still find themselves logging in to play Black Ops 3 for an hour or three every night shouldn't think twice about the Season Pass. I got too excited when I had enough money, accidentally bought Awakening, I notified psn, and they’re going to refund me because I meant to buy the season pass. Well… I still bought the season pass, and it still hasn’t shown Der Riese map on Zombies. I’ve restarted and quit application, and still nothing. Can someone help me with this?

You have to download it even after you buy it so go in the PlayStation store and find the dlc and download it :)

There are no free maps when you pay for the season pass you are paying for the maps they are not free so when you pay $49.99 for the season pass you are paying that to get all the maps.

Vance Muir there are no free maps when you pay for the season pass you are paying for the maps they are not free so when you pay $49.99 for the season pass you are paying that to get all the maps.

From my experience with buying these map packs, they last for like 3 months. You can go to the Bonus category and choose to play against player who have the same map pack. Then after 3 month the Bonus category for that map pack get moved to the general lobby where the maps only come by so often.
