March Black Ops 3 Update: 4 Things to Expect & 3 Not To
The first March Black Ops 3 update arrived in early March, followed by several hotfixes to deal with other issues and problems. Here is a look at what you need to know and what you can still expect from the March Black Ops 3 updates.
The first March Black Ops 3 update adds weapon changes, scorestreak changes, map fixes and more. Here’s what’s new in the March Black Ops 3 1.07 Update on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
There is a new March Black Ops 3 1.08 update rolling out on March 21st. The official changes are here, and there are a ton of fixes and changes.
After this fist major update we’ve seen several hotfixes arrive, which are the groundwork for any future March Black Ops 3 updates, or an April Black Ops 3 update. These larger updates include changes from the hotfixes that Treyarch pushes directly to the console or PC when it boots up.
We’ve seen a Black Ops 3 update enable new Black Ops 3 weapons in the Supply Drops, and there is a chance that we will see additional options in March. There is also a teaser for a new Black Ops 3 Specialist, which would likely arrive on Xbox One, PC and PS4 at the same time — if this specialist is really coming to the game.
We don’t know everything about the March Black Ops 3 update, but there are some things that we can share to help you set your expectations.
Expect Another Major March Black Ops 3 Update
Treyarch and Activision have already delivered the first March Black Ops 3 update. Every month since the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release we've seen at least one major update and many hotfixes -- and March falls right in line. With the arrival of the Awakening Black Ops 3 DLC on Xbox One and PC, the first update arrived at the beginning of the month. The PS4 Black Ops 3 update uses the 1.07 number. The PC Black Ops 3 Update TU7 is arriving on March 2nd. The Xbox One update uses a slightly different indentifier. At this point it is very possible that we will see a second March Black Ops 3 update land at the end of the month, ahead of the Black Ops 3 DLC 2 release. Although this is something we expect, there is a chance that Treyarch will simply rely on hotfixes for the time being and push any major patch to April with a Black Ops 3 1.08 update to prepare for the PS4 Black Ops 3 DLC 2 release. There are two ways that Treyarch fixes Black Ops 3 problems; hotfixes and updates. The hotfix process allows for faster fixes, but there are some problems and issues that can only be fixed with a major update. That's why we see these on at least a monthly basis in addition to hotfixes.
