How to Take a Screenshot

How to Take a Screenshot

Taking and saving a screenshot is very easy on Samsung smartphones. All owners need to do is push and hold both the power and physical home button (fingerprint scanner) at the same time. Push and hold until it makes a noise, and let go. Screenshots can then be edited or shared. Perfect for saving funny pictures, memes, text messages, snippets of an email and more.

Briefly push and hold both buttons and let go, and you’ll see and hear the screenshot capture. That’s it. The phone saves whatever was being displayed, and can be accessed from the gallery. Then, a setting is enabled under “Advanced settings” called “Smart capture” which shows additional information after a screenshot. Like instantly taking another screenshot (down an entire email or webpage) or instantly crop and share it.

There is also a second method that’s even easier, although I find myself using the above method the most. Samsung has neat gestures with its phones for a screenshot. Just swipe the edge of your hand across the entire display to capture a screenshot. You’ve probably done this on accident and didn’t know how, but it’s a feature.

The image above shows the hand gesture for taking screenshots with ease. Here is even more information on taking screenshots with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Can I also add my spouse to the fingerprint scan? So we’re both able to use the device?

Google Now gets it wrong so often that it is useless. When did you ever hear anyone use it? Never.

I normally do not leave comments, but thank you for this helpful list! It informed me on things I didn’t know my phone could do, such as the SOS feature.
