Fallout 4 1.6.9 Update: What’s New
A new Fallout 4 update is rolling out and today we want to cover the most important things you need to know about the 1.6.9 update for Xbox One and PC and the 1.08 update for PS4.
Bethesda might not release any Fallout 4 DLC beyond Nuka World DLC release in August but that doesn’t mean that support for the game will end.
The developer will continue to push out new Fallout 4 patches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC and the latest, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 1.6 update, is now available for all three platforms in regions around the world. (Note: The update is dubbed 1.08 for PlayStation 4.)
Bethesda recently rolled out a Fallout 4 1.5.4 update for Xbox One and PC bringing fixes and improvements to Fallout 4 mods. It’s not clear when these changes will land for the PS4.
The company’s quickly moved on with a Fallout 4 1.6 update that brings more than just bug fixes for the game’s lingering problems. It also brings new features to the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
With the new Fallout 4 1.6.9 update out on all three systems, we want to walk you through all of the key 1.6/1.08 update details for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Keep these things in mind as we roll on toward the Fallout 4 Vault-Tec DLC Workshop release date on July 26th.
Fallout 4 1.6 Problems & 1.08 Problems
The Fallout 4 1.6.9/1.08 update brings some key bug fixes to the game but it doesn't fix everything. It also brings some new problems to the table. Bethesda's 1.6 update beta was plagued with a number of issues. And while the beta eradicated several issues, the final version for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 brings its own collection of bugs. We're starting to see complaints emerge on Bethesda's support forums so you'll want to be aware of what you're up against before, and after, you install the 1.6.9 update. Early 1.6.9 update problems include texturing issues, crashes, issues starting the game (here's a fix for that), various glitches, lag, invisible followers, permanent invisibility, permanent stealth, missing game files, Fallout 4 mods, and more. We expect complaints to pickup as more people download the software. You'll want to tell Bethesda about any problems you encounter with the new 1.6.9 update/1.08 update. To do that, head over to its support forums and/or fill out this form. This will help the company improve the game in future updates.
