Apple
3 Reasons Not to Install iOS 10.3.3 & 9 Reasons You Should
The iOS 10.3.3 update is a small upgrade, but it brings some key changes to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. While some of you will want to install the iOS 10.3.3 update on your device today, others might want to wait.
Apple’s iOS 10.3.3 update is a maintenance update, but it delivers important security patches and bug fixes for lingering iOS problems.
iOS 10.3.3 isn’t a milestone upgrade, but it could still have a significant impact on your device’s performance, particularly if you own an older iPhone or iPad or if you’re upgrading from an older version of iOS like iOS 10.2.1 or iOS 9.
iOS 10.3.3 is only a small update if you’re coming directly to it from the previous version of iOS 10, iOS 10.3.2.
If you’re coming from an older version of iOS, your iOS 10.3.3 update will actually be much bigger thanks to iOS 10.3.2 and any other iOS updates you skipped along the way. You’ll get features and fixes from those older iOS updates baked into your version of iOS 10.3.3.
There are plenty of reasons to consider installing iOS 10.3.3 on your device (particularly if you skipped iOS 10.3), but there are also some reasons why you might be better off waiting a few days (or longer) before installing iOS 10.3.3 on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
There’s also no way to downgrade to an older version of iOS 10 so you need to proceed with caution, particularly if you’re upgrading from a much older version of iOS like iOS 10.2.1 or iOS 9.
If you’re on the fence about upgrading, this guide will walk you through these reasons and help you decide if iOS 10.3.3 is worth it for you and your device.
Install iOS 10.3.3 If You Want Better Security
If you value your security, you'll want to seriously consider downloading the iOS 10.3.3 update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. iOS 10.3.3 brings 24 security patches addressing vulnerabilities plaguing Contacts, Messages, Notifications, and Safari. It also includes a patch for a potentially dangerous Wi-Fi exploit dubbed "Broadpwn." That patch alone is a great reason to install iOS 10.3.3 right now or in the immediate future. If you failed to download previous versions of iOS, your iOS 10.3.3 update will bring even more security features. If you passed on iOS 10.3.2, iOS 10.3.3 will deliver 23 additional security patches for potentially dangerous issues. If you skipped iOS 10.3.1, your iOS 10.3.3 update will bring its lone security patch. If you skipped iOS 10.3, iOS 10.3.3 will bring its monster list of patches to your device. The iOS 10.3 update delivered over 60 known patches for potential exploits. That's substantial, even for a milestone upgrade. If you skipped the iOS 10.2.1 update and/or the iOS 10.2 update, iOS 10.3.3 brings their security patches with it. The iOS 10.2.1 update had 14 important patches on board. You can see them all right here. If you failed to install Apple's iOS 9.3.5 update, iOS 10.3.3 will also bring the three crucial security patches it delivered last year. These patch up serious security problems that could potentially expose your calls, contacts, texts, and emails. These patches enhance the security on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch making them ideal for those of you who store sensitive files/data on your device.

My Ipad 4 won’t charge now and the sleep screen is all disjointed – says to click on ‘home’ to open – well there is no ‘home’ ! I’ll be going to the Apple Store after work to have them fix this or put my Ipad back to what it was before this upgrade.

Yes it does. It’s the circle button on your ipad. All apple products have the circle button just like the power button. It is literally the middle bottom.

I’m having the same problem before install I just swiped the screen to the right and all icons showed now it goes to a screen with the circle in the middle and says the same as complained upon here I have to now press my bottom home button to get out of it plus it wants to put a bunch of widget updates there too. I turned those off but now it will say 1 Widgets update available. Very irritating how can I get rid of this?

After installing 10.0.2 for iPad the keypad sounds while typing are very faint. Have to turn volume almost to full to hear them. Then if I click on a video or song the sound is blaring loud. Anyway to fix this?

As has been stated at least twice in the comments prior to yours, the home button is the round button on the bottom in the middle–the one you press to switch between screens. User error/issue, not Apple error…

Have you found a fix for this yet? There isn’t much point in a fingerprint recognition if I still have to press the button. Can’t believe they didn’t think users wouldn’t be disappointed to see the words “press the home button” on a phone that had previously opened with barely a touch of my finger…

Since downloading this update, I have to manually click on every Spam e-mail to delete? In the past, I could hit the mark all then the delete button and they were gone. How the he$$ is this an upgrade? Try deleting $150 + spam emails individually every few hours.
Julie

Taking pictures of the screen: try simultaneously pressing down the Power Off Button and the Home Button. This works for my 6S.
IOS 10.0.2 upgrade now allows ANYONE within physical access of my iPhone 6S FULL ACCESS to my phone and all its content!!! — All one has to do to gain access is press and hold on the Text Message which shows up on my Locked Home Screen, and the full text displays. From there full access to all past Text messages, my Hom Screen, and anything not password protected. What I don’t know is whether it opens because I have Touch Fingerprint access….but in the past that’s from the Home Button only. Now I have ZERO privacy, ZERO security.

This 10.01 upgrade sucks. Lost contacts, screens all mess up. Who wants widgets and another screen ?😼 Can not access my blocked phone numbers to update additional calls. Can not copy n paste easily and when I try there is some new thing to access and it doesn’t always let you copy or copy and paste. I’d expect this crap from an android phone. I’m out on Apple. Tomorrow I’m buys SAMSUNG Galaxy 7 Screw you TIM Cook
Karen
09/30/2016 at 12:57 pm
I don’t know why any part of my Text has to appear on my Home Screen. How can I stop this?
For those whose Touch Fingerprint stops working, try powering the phone down. That works for me. I also delete and re-create my Fingerprint(s), though I’m not certain which I do first. It has happened several times in the past month, even prior to this upgrade. I purchased my phone in July and so had the most recent IOS version. A lot of trouble true, but it does work.
For those who are loosing power fast after one phone call, try double clicking on the Home Button to see all open programs. Then swipe away those no longer needed.

Michele Caldwell
10/02/2016 at 6:35 pm
Kate: You can stop the Calendar Updates. Select “Edit” when you first open your phone, and your “Widget” window will let you add or delete apps I have no idea what the heck a Widget window is or why they created it, but This will stop the calendar from bugging the heck out of you From now on, Every time you open your phone you will have to hit the home button twice The first time the “edit” button comes up to allow you to modify the apps The second will move past that and open your phone, I’m definitely not a fan of this new upgrade.

Always always before you update make sure you back up EVERYTHING to iCloud. The previous update had a lot more bugs and bad reviews than the current. Never be in a hurry to update. Read the reviews first. I learned the hard way. Lost all my pics, had to install all my apps over, could not open my iPhone with password, kept getting message to try back in 5 min then 15 min then 1 hr over and over. After having someone eventually getting my phone to work after the repetitive messages that’s when I read the reviews. I couldn’t believe the multiple problems people were having along with my alarm had a volume control problem.
This time I’m waiting to update…patience is a virtue and a time saver in the end

think the new update is rubbish and thinking may be it just a way for apple to make the home button wear out and fail so we all have to go and buy a new iPhone 7 !!!!!!! well if my home button breaks and I can no longer use my iPhone 5s I will take it to apple and they can fix it for free as it was there “update that caused the issue or ill go and buy a phone from another manufacturer

IOS 10.0.2 is the worst update. It is quirky and crashes apps frequently. I have it installed on my IPhone 5 and iPad 2. Both are experiencing the same issues. Very jerky response time and apps crashing makes using my Apple products quite frustrating. We need updates that have been fully tested to work as expected before they are forced out.😔

I generally love Apple designs, but this new 10.0.2 version is UGLY!
The BLACK CLOCK made me say “gross!” and the new overly enhanced emojis look ugly and non-elegant!!!!!!!
And the worst part is, I can’t even go back! Bring the lighter clock back!!! What’s wrong with you guy – you always hired good designers before! This is DEFINITELY a change for the WORSE!!!!

I read reviews of previous updates and decided to wait until the next one. It became the next one after that and then the one after that. Now I am at this update and I am reading the same thing: it is rubbish, just like the previous updates! Then, I discovered that Apple is now getting sneaky and changing my settings to auto update between 2 and 4 AM. Seriously? Why are they so desperate that they feel the need to change MY phone settings and automatically insert their garbage? Are they creating pure rubbish to make certain that consumers have no choice but to get another device to facilitate sales? Are they that desperate? Apple is becoming Big Brother and doing things for me automatically. Stop this already! It’s like WestWorld. They haven’t learned their lessons from previous mistakes, yet pawn off more rubbish in hopes that it will assuage the many of us who are disappointed in what they are claiming as legitimate fixes. So now, yet again, I will not update my devices because this is a crappy update. They ousted Jobs for being radically inventive and demanding clear and concise updates. What are they thinking by keeping Cook on board? Does he have pictures of them in compromising positions with goats or what?

I don’t want the update. It seems Apple is getting very aggressive to make me upgrade anyway. The only options you get when starting up the phone are -. Update now. 2. Later or 3. Info on how great ios10 is. So I chose “Later” and get the list of terms and conditions. I click “Disagree” and my phone seems to go back to its old self. Then, I get the message that (just like another commenter said) tells me that my phone will update automatically if it’s plugged in at 2:00 am. I guess they don’t care about the terms and conditions that I did NOT agree to. Why are they so desperate to get people to upgrade whether we want to or not? Does anyone know if there is a way to opt out? I wouldn’t put it past them to make it so that when I click “post” for this comment, it shows me as having agreed to the terms and starts the upgrade.

Since ‘Upgrading’ to iOS 10, when I click on certain things, nothing happens. Scrolling is glitchy, attempting to go back in iMessages doesn’t happen… I apparently am one of the unlucky ones where the update has visibly made my phone WORSE. Thanks Apple. And I’m a long-time Apple user/Apple advocate. But thanks…

I did the 10 upgrade on my iPhone 6 and regret it! You no longer can get directly to your home screen… completely inconvenient. Don’t know who the genius is behind that idea, but WORST IDEA EVER. Hope that upgrade that right out of the phone for the next.

The upgrade sucks!! I tried to avoid installing it, several times a day a message would pop up out of nowhere asking me to: install now, install tonight, or do it later. Apple does not give NO as an option. My 5 year old son accidentally hit install tonight… I was unaware. I hate Apple! They put bugs in your phone forcing you to upgrade your phone.

1) Lost all keyboard shortcuts; requires manual recreation. No way to create a batch and store for protection from Tim Cook iOS nitwits. No way to import shortcuts anyway no matter where I store them.
2) Scrolling emails while in read-mode formerly was an up or down pointing arrow. With 10.0.2, iPhone is left & right pointing arrows. iPad there is no way to move to successive next…there are no arrows. The only way so far is to exit the email, choose the next email. Time consuming and iOS stupidly unergonomic.

Thumbprint no longer works (main reason that I chose this phone!!!!) so now when I’m driving down the interstate at 70 mph and need to make a call I have to fumble around trying to push in a 6 digit code. Kinda like texting…thanks Apple for the safty hazard. Flash light no longer pops up. any attempt to pull up the shortcut menu from the bottom of the screen opens iTunes. Thanks again for that Apple. How about if I want to listen to music I open iTunes. If I wnt to dim my screen or use the flashlight..well, I haven’t figured out the new way to do those yet. Evidently apple want me to listen to music while I work on that issue. And what the hell with all the new sub menus??? Need your camera in a hurry? press the camera icon and you get a new sub menu for a second time consuming, choice. Did you want to take a picture, video, or a bunch of other choices. How about I just get my dang camera open and then i know how to make thoe other things happen. Oh yes, sub menus for everything, want to read your email? SUBMENU!!! now to get to press some more buttons. you wnat to read, compose, archive? more decision… Please just open my damn email. And it’s not just my phone it’s my wifes phone too so it’s the update. You know, we pay of money to purchase these devices, why do they think they can just change all the options on an update. I absolutely hate the new 10 iOS update everything is going wrong. I would not update to the new 10 iOS and I wish to go back to the old version!
I have calendar dates that are missing, typing this message I have to type and retype because it’s putting in incorrect lettering or none at all,. The home screen button that was supposed to use with the Touch ID not an option anymore we have to hit the button 2x as well sometimes it still doesn’t open after four or five tries goes to different screens I have to swipe & swipe turn it off turn it back on it’s a disaster.

I am convinced most of the reasons for these updates are to kill functionality of older phones and force you to upgrade to a new one. Not installing the updates only buy you little time because pretty soon they stop supporting new apps or updates on older apps that use older versions. Few years back my ios 4s was rendered almost useless within 2 years since I refused to update to an ios that was known to fry the 4s and I was far removed from any service centers. Only 2 choices, Android and Apple so we basically are stuck with a cartel with limited choice. Android has its own issues due to Google Play
Anyways, this update on the 6S I bought only months ago is draining my battery like crazy. pffft

Since updating to 10 two days ago, my phone goes dark with 48 pct of battery left. Allegedly. Is the number wrong or must I really plug in twice as often now? This is not progress .

10/09/2016 at 4:15 pm
I have been hating this upgrade and am at least relieved to see no one else likes it either. My main issue is the phone app. Yes the reason this is still called a “phone,” but it has really gone downhill. I’m using this phone for interviews and people can’t hear me and I can’t hear them, unless I turn on speaker, which is goofy and can’t be done in public.
Anyone else have this problem?

Oh, btw I am using an iPhone 6 and am also noticing shorter battery life. I agree with those who say Apple is trying to push us all into 7. And is there any way to “down grade?”

Downloaded 10.0.2 – not happy with some of the “improvements”, but the real problem is what it is doing to my iPad 4 & iPhone 4s:
– Randomly turns off apps when you are using them.
– Will not play some video output from the web.
– Shuts down my phone as with flat battery, comes straight back on when I connect charger telling me I have 40% charge.
and probably, from the notes above, many other things which I haven’t discovered yet.
Questions:
1) Is Apple working on a fix for this (I haven’t seen any mention anywhere where they actually acknowledge the problem).
2) Does anybody know if it’s possible to step back to the previous version? I ask, but not hopeful…
3) Has anybody visited an Apple “Genius” with this problem?
I bought the very first iPhone and have been loyal to Apple products ever since, but if this continues much longer that will no longer be the case!!!

Follow up to my previous message…. I requested an Apple support call and spoke to a good guy Jorge. First he addressed the problem that my iPad wouldn’t connect to iTunes (stating it had received an unexpected response from the iPad). I had checked within iTunes to see if there was an update to the program, but it told me I was up to date with the latest version, Jorge however said I needed a newer version an indeed when I connected to Apple I discovered a newer version was available (so much for the check for update). Once loaded the iPad connected immediately, after a backup and reload the iPad now works fine. Jorge’ is explanation was that my wi-if signal during the previous update had possibly been interrupted causing all the problems I was having which have now been resolved. STILL don’t like some of the changes made in the update, but that’s typical Apple…..

10.0.2 is the best example of poor software. Changing to the home button, which “sometimes” works and watching the battery drain twice as fast, are only two examples. From a company who used to be regarded in our circles as one of the best, this is simply an example of an OS written by non-profewssionals.

My Iphone 5s worded ok with 10.0, but when it did a WI-Fi over the air upgrade to 10.0.2, the IOS started to fail. Strange screen colors and images, ffgoing totally dark, but the phone still was able to ring and recive texts, for a while. After a few hours, and a few resets, all it would do is respond to song playlists. Plugging it into Itunes failed because, the Iphone 5s 10.0.2 IOS was so corrupted, it could not be recognized as a working USB devices. Took it to the geek store and they are saying it is dieing a slow death of corrupted code growing. Not even a brick anymore, even though Apple says upgrade with WI-FI.

I don’t mind upgrade fixes but what idiot devised a message screen smaller than mylittle finger on one side of the screen with rest of screen taken up with crap (that is – movies videos sharing options) that I didn’t need before and don’t need now – I want to use my screen to send text emails and photos – Apple nerds in overdrive and not talking to the customer / sorry Apple you’ve lost me a a repeat customer

So many issues with this update. Much like everyone else, Bluetooth issues, unblocking blocked contacts, also my personal hotspot works when it wants to (seems to be no pattern), freezes, screens go weird when you double press the home button, weather app is very volatile, new alarm layout makes it difficult to tell if you have turned it off or just put it on snooze, if someone messages you when you are watching something you have to actually swipe it away, where as before it would automatically go after a few seconds. Hate it.

Agree with everybody who says that it is the first product which I hate from apple. Reasons:
1. For long term users slide function should be used to unlock phone!!!
2. Local languages disappeared from day and date on home screen :(
3. Blur around folder when it is opened kills my eyes!!!

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned, the home button is the weakest part of iPad/iPhone. The foam pad in the button goes bad with use which makes the button inoperatable. Apple has now make a change which will increase the use of the button causing earlier failure. The button is cheap but replacement in an iPad will usually require replacing the glass ($120.00) . Never had the swip function fail. It should be noted that I read that when the home button fails a back up button appears on the screen to perform that function until it is replaced, so apple is expecting the buttons to fail.
Ryan Pyle
10/19/2016 at 4:17 pm
Smh… the reason the new screen says press home button to unlock is because the new iPhone 7 technically does not have a home button. It’s fixed in place and has haptic feedback to make you think it’s a button. This is why on older devices it says that. Also I have none of these problems on my 6s that I’m hearing about other than slightly higher battery drain but it still lasts all day
Ryan Pyle
10/19/2016 at 4:23 pm
And also this iOS is decent. But apple is not trying to wrest out your phone so you get a new one. Believe it or not they one of the best customer services and they want to help. Just be patient and wait for a new update or don’t update at all.

Wow… I’m speechless! So many people who own an Apple device and doesn’t know where or what is the Home Button?!? C’mon! (For you people, it’s the round one on the bottom or your devices, the one with the Touch ID in it).
It’s not computer science stuff and It’s not a software problem, it’s you!!! So please, stop complaining!

I take issue with the “Don’t install before vacation” edict. Some of the update downloads are huge and if you’re not careful, or simply screw up, you can end up with your phone trying to, worse yet succeeding, in downloading a gig of extraordinarily-expensive data. Even if you have a data plan, or are using local wifi, you’re still straining available resources.
So for me, I make sure to download any upgrades a few days prior to leaving on a trip (both for phone and laptop). Day before or morning of, I’ll check to see if there’s something new, and if there’s an option to download without installing.

This update screwed my entire iPad 4. All of my apps crash and Apple told me it is impossible to go back to iOS 10.1 due to the fact that it is no longer verified. This update killed my iPad and almost put my job in jeopardy. I used to be a big fan of Apple but after updating my iPad to iOS 10.2 and seeing all these comments to be true, my iPad is no longer usable for my job and I am getting a Samsung galaxy tablet this week. Goodbye Apple.

new 10.2 on iPhone6 is a pain. now it takes 6 “touches” to activate phone, up 20% from 5 (side button, then home button, then 4 passcode numbers) now that we have to hit home button to get in. i had to replace my last iPhone because the home button wore out–is that the plan here?
also, the very handy swipe up for flashlight is gone. in its place, swipe for music i don’t want—and good luck finding your flashlight. I wish I hadn’t upgraded.

We were developing IOS /Ibeacon blue tooth product as a real-time alert enhancement for around 200,000 businesses our client has clients globally.
Now that we cant wake up ios to alert when in lock mode we have now dropped the plan and advising our clients to have Android phones or purchase an Android tablet.
Our reason for this is purely that we cant get a response from apple to get their stance on the move. We had to make a commercial decision to go forward. we might pick apple up later but it will be a game changer for them to be left out of the loop on the concept they actually started… mind Blowing!

This lovely update also makes your phone not work with cables that allow you to charge your phone and plug it into a 3.5mm jack for your car. Apple doesn’t make an adapter for this, and shut down all third-party adapters. Stellar!

Stupidly did the 10.3.1 update and now have ebay features inactive, dodgy touchscreen, fast battery usage and various screens lock for over a minute when trying to power down. In messages, my backspace bar goes forwards and does not cancel the text or go backwards! Seriously, Apple? My 6 plus is not happy. These are fundamental features, rendered useless because they have “escaped” beta testing from one of the worlds biggest companies. Not good enough, people. Get it right before general release!

Updating to ios 10.3.1 just fried my IPhone 6, forcing me to purchase a new, IPhone 7. $$$$ This was not my plan at this time. I would have appreciated a heads up on this. Updated now my apps do not show on settings, even if they show on the phone. I can open them through App Store but no longer listed on settings so that I costumize rings and things. iPhone is so over-rated. I will never buy one again. I have a couple of iPads, mac and iPhone. Will never buy an iPhone again. I miss blackberry and how you have a silent ring and that could be your default. Every update just screws up your entire phone in a way that it is unfixable. Apple just sucks sucks sucks!!!

A very, very bad situation.
iOS 10.3.1 is, as I see it, a absolutly back to the “Stone Age” situation, and it makes my iPad and iPhone useless, for my purposes.

iOS 10.3.1 has killed my phone. Screen becomes sporadically unresponsive – can’t even unlock the phone half the time. I see hundreds of people on the Support community all saying the same thing. #Crapple.

Do NOT install the update. It’s rendered my phone useless and after troubleshooting for almost 4 hours I’ve given up. I’m leaving Apple.

I installed this update yesterday and it seems to have tanked the stopwatch feature. It just cycles between 00.01 and 00.02. I’ve closed the app and restarted my phone, but it hasn’t solved the issue.

After upgrading to 10.3.1 i’m not able to sync. between Dropbox and GoodReader, my Mindmaps (SimpleMind) are gone, and can’t load from Dropbox, and, and, and…
I have the new iPhone 7 and the newest iPad, but cant’t use them anymore with my favorit Apps – And the supports at Dropbox, at GoodReader and at SimpleMind has given up, and say clearlh that they can’t help me, that I should look for/try to find other similar Apps that works with the new uopgrade from Apple!
Thinking seriously about changing to Android, but just used a lot of money to upgrade to the latest Apple Hardware !
What a rotten situation Apple

My Iphone 5c frequently gets struck in zoom mode without my involvement. It does’t switch off. The off switch and screen does’t work. Calls come but cant be received due to screen problem. There is no provision for reboot. I have to wait for three days to drain the battery without phone. suggest a solution without breaking open the phone.

My Clock App doesn’t work at all!!! The timer runs then just switches off when done… it doesn’t sound an alarm.
My Alarm Clock which I use again doesn’t go off. Have tried deleting and re-adding. Have Reset All Settings and it still doesn’t work – TERRIBLE!

I can’t play music or videos in the background from youtube, is it just me or is it really a problem I’ve tried rebooting my iPad mini but it hasn’t fixed the problem. I’ve also tried messing around with the settings but it still didn’t work. Please help me fix it.

@If Clips supports your device and you think you might want to try it out you’ll need iOS 10.3.2 on board your iPhone or iPad.
THATS WRONG
To install and use Clips it need iOS 10.3
You don’t Need 10.3.1 or 10.3.2 to use Clips!!!

If I were a sales manager at Apple tasked with making the company the richest in history I’d say to my engineers, “Every couple of months release a SECURITY FIX that turns a bunch of iPads & iPhones into instant boat anchors, it’ll help boost sales!”
Who says engineers at Apple don’t follow orders?

I updated my IPhone 6Splus with iOS10.3.2 update and now the phone is dead. Went to Apple Store and Tech said your phone can not be charged up again after the diagnosis run. Which is SAD.
Updated iOS on my daughter’s Iphone 6S and now her Iphone is loosing charge by noon. Same is happening with other Iphone 5S. This is really disheartening that 3 of my 7 Apple product are not working anymore. We are Apple family for last 7 years and really SAD that this is really not working for us. No Help from Apple.

If you are not getting help from Apple then you aren’t asking in the right place. When I had issues with an upgrade they organised a planned telephone call and an apple assistant who temporarily took control of my system sorted the problem and re-downloaded the upgrade. I had left it to upgrade in a weak wi-if spot in the house and the problem seems to have stemmed from a corrupt download. How many of you out there are using wi-if to upgrade? Make sure you have a strong signal or wait until you can wire up and complete the upgrade.

I have an iPad 4 thats running on iOS 7 still… I have all the apps that I need on it but I recently noticed that many apps are discontinuing support for this iOS.
Does anyone have any idea how my device will be affected if I upgrade? What can I expect? Right now it works perfectly, its fast, has plenty of space – I have no issues whatsoever.
I don’t want to lose any functionality. The last time i updated iOS on my phone I got hit by the “slide to upgrade” bug and had to reset the device, losing all of my many iBooks which aren’t protected by backups if they’re not from the iBooks store. I won’t update if it’s likely i’ll encounter an issue like that, or if my iPad will lag too much.
If anyone has any knowledge about this, I would love your input. Thanks.

Maybe I should continue using the old version to avoid the updates which aren’t necessary.

They still haven’t addressed the permanent website data bug in Safari.
Go to Settings> Safari> Advanced> Website Data and try and clear it. Some websites won’t delete arbitrarily, and if they do, others will stick. This happens even in private browsing.

I’ve found one annoying 10.3.3 “feature” on my new iPad (haven’t yet updated my iPhone). If I swipe from the right, I get a list of apps. This interferes with normal swiping – to move from one picture to the next, for example. Since there are already plenty of ways to get to my apps, e.g. home screen and left swipe from Home Screen to get frequently used apps, I consider the right swipe within an app to be a bug not a feature.

After I updated to 10.3.3, the battery in my iPhone failed. It would not hold a charge unless it was plugged in. I also stared getting errors when trying to get gmail through the apple mail app. This also impacted retrieving gmail through outlook on my PC. I got errors suggesting that there were too many connections to my account. I stopped by the AT&T store and they suggested I file a claim and get a new phone, which I did. Got the new phone and updated it to 10.3.3 and the new iPhone exhibited similar battery issues. It would sometimes lose power while plugged in to charge. It also had the same email issues. I rolled back to iOS 10.3.2 and all the issues are gone. I updated my iPad to 10.3.3 before it was clear that these issues were system related and while it doesn’t have battery issues, apple mail will not retrieve mail from my school account. I had to install outlook to get mail from that account on the iPad. Did apple hire a bunch of Microsoft developers to put together this 10.3.3 update?
