This little trick is one that almost no one know about, but every parent should teach their child. It's a command that allows the owner to set up a contact to reach in case of emergency, without alerting anyone else. Tap the power button three times very fast, and it will send a message, location, and other information to a number of your choosing. Incredible right? Yes, this could be a lifesaver.
Head into Settings > Personal (Culomn) > Privacy & Safety and select the emergency SOS messages option. Customize it with audio, pictures (the phone can quickly snap photos or record audio of a situation and more) and then set the number for emergencies. Then the owner can tap the power button 3 times quickly to send an emergency message to their contact of choosing. It's one of those little things many don't know about, but could make all the difference in a terrible situation. Think about that for a second, then teach your friends and family members about it. You can never be too careful. |

Can I also add my spouse to the fingerprint scan? So we’re both able to use the device?

Google Now gets it wrong so often that it is useless. When did you ever hear anyone use it? Never.

I normally do not leave comments, but thank you for this helpful list! It informed me on things I didn’t know my phone could do, such as the SOS feature.
