Flightradar24

Flightradar 24 is another excellent flight tracking app that's available for the iPhone and iPad, as well as Android

Like FlightAware, Flightradar 24 lets you track planes in real time. Once you lock in on a plane you can check the route, estimated time of arrival, and actual time of departure. You can also view aircraft type, speed, and altitude if you're into that sort of thing.

You can also tap on individual airports to get a detailed arrival and departure board, flight status, aircraft on the ground, current delay stats, and weather conditions.

The free version of Flightradar24 should provide you with what you need, but if you want to take it a step further you can.

The app has two paid tiers, silver and gold, and each comes with its own set of additional features.

If you upgrade to silver you get:

  • 90 days of flight history.
  • More aircraft details, like serial number & age.
  • More flight details, like vertical speed & squawk.
  • Filters and alerts to find and track the flights you’re interested in.
  • Current weather at 3,000+ airports overlaid on the map.

If you upgrade to gold status you get:

  • All the features included in Flightradar24 Silver
  • 365 days of flight history
  • Detailed live map weather layers for clouds & precipitation
  • Aeronautical charts & oceanic tracks showing the pathways flights follow across the sky
  • Air traffic control boundaries that show which controllers are responsible for a flight
  • Extended Mode S data— even more information about a flight’s altitude, speed, and wind & temperature conditions during flight, when available

I haven't upgraded, but if these sound useful to you you might want to research what others have to say. For some of you, they might be worth it.

Has anyone reviewed General Aviation Flight Tracker? Worth a look. https://www.gaflighttracker.com

    Hi Gorkem

Thanks for sharing, however, I prefer the Flight Tracker from this site: https://flightradar.live/en/flight-tracker/ . In addition to track flights you can also find arrival and departure times and book airport services.
