Next, performance and battery life need a quick mention. Mainly because Google's Pixel XL was the king of both last year, while the Galaxy Note 7 battery had problems that resulted in the phone getting recalled.
To play it safe, and because the S-Pen takes up space, Samsung's Note 8 only has a 3,300 mAh battery inside. It's not the biggest but is more than enough. Between the processor, Android Nougat and a more efficient display, it lasts long enough. The 6GB of RAM will improve performance and multitasking. As for the Pixel 2 XL, Google's expected to deliver a great phone that performs good and lasts plenty long. Running the new Android 8.0 Oreo release we expect smooth performance, great battery life, and tons of customizations. Similar to how Apple tweaks the hardware and software for the best possible experience, Google will do the same with its Pixel XL 2 and Android 8.0. Then, there are tons of new software features, Google Lens, Google Assistant, and a big 3,520 mAh battery. Yes, the Pixel 2 XL has a smaller screen AND a bigger battery. You be the judge on this one.
