The Samsung Galaxy Android 5.1.1 release has been happening since June and as we push deeper into the summer, we continue to see new details emerge. With that in mind, we want to take a look at the most important Samsung Galaxy Android 5.1.1 update details to know right now. This includes information about updates for the Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 4 and more.

We’re now six months removed from Samsung’s first Lollipop release but we continue to see new Lollipop details pour out of Samsung and its carrier partners. Some of those details are about Lollipop updates (or a lack thereof) for older devices like the Galaxy Note 2. Others are about brand new Lollipop updates for brand new devices like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

In June, Samsung started rolling out its latest Android update, Android 5.1.1, and it’s currently rolling out to several of the company’s newest Galaxy smartphones. Android 5.1.1 is a bug fixer but it brings some interesting features to Galaxy smartphone users. It’s also expected to serve as a bridge to Samsung’s next big Android update for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, an update current known as Android M.

Samsung’s Android 5.1.1 roll out is extremely young and limited but we know that there are a number of new updates on the horizon for devices like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S5. With that, and the rumored Android M release date in mind (August), we want to take a look at the most important things to know right now about Samsung’s Android 5.1.1 release.
