Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Have Third-Person Cameras
Running off the success of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will keep the third-person camera angle those games pioneered. In today’s new trailer the camera follows along behind the player as they move about the world of Alola. Cars are visible, along with other trainers and characters in the game. Textures and graphics do seem to be heavily updated from the earlier games. For those that haven’t ventured into the world of Pokémon in a while, the different camera angles will be a huge change. Most of the series had a top-down camera, with avatars too tiny to really be all that personable. Getting a full view of someone was only possible when in battle. Along with the bigger characters and new camera angle, the trailer seems to hint at Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon offering deeper character customization than in past games.
