Don't Install If You're Worried About Oreo Problems

If you're having a great experience on Android Nougat and the features and enhancements on Android Oreo fail to excite you, it might be worth it to hang around on Android 7.0 for a few more days at least.

It's early, but we're already hearing about Galaxy S8 Oreo problems. Some of these issues are minor bugs, others are, again, related to performance.

Galaxy S8 users are complaining about a potential issue with Airplane Mode where the phone's battery drains abnormally with the setting turned on. Samsung is reportedly aware of the issue and a fix could come in a newer Oreo build.

Problems are normal for a major Android upgrade and we expect complaints to pickup as the Galaxy S8 Oreo update expands to other regions.

If you're feeling leery about making the move to Android Oreo, wait for more short-term and long-term feedback about your Galaxy S8's Oreo update to emerge.

If you see a ton of negative feedback, it might be a good idea to hold out for the next major Oreo bug fix update from Samsung or your carrier.

We also recommend waiting until you're ready to face Oreo problems. We've put together a list of fixes for common Galaxy S8 issues and it's a solid resource to have on hand.

This update is rubbish. It slowed my phone down in all aspects. It heats up now which it never did to this degree. Wish I never updated. Argh
