If you own a Nexus 5X or a Nexus 6P you'll probably want to install the Android 7.1.2 update right away because it comes with an impressive upgrade that originally was a Pixel-exclusive.
Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P users called for Google to upgrade their fingerprint sensor capabilities and the company has delivered. With Android 7.1.2 Nougat on board your device, you'll notice a brand new option under Settings -> Moves. There, you'll find a new Swipe for notifications toggle. You can see what we're talking about in the screenshot here. So what does this do? Well, if you toggle the function on, you'll be able to swipe down on your device's fingerprint sensor to drop your notification tray down.
We've found this to be extremely useful because it allows you to check your notifications without removing your index from the back of the phone or stretching your thumb to the top of the screen. A small tweak but we think many of you are going to love this addition.
