4 Reasons Not to Install iOS 11 Beta & 9 Reasons You Should
Don't Install iOS 11 Beta If You Hate Dealing with Problems
If you only own one iPhone or iPad, and/or hate dealing with problems, you'll probably want to avoid the iOS 11 beta. In its iOS Beta FAQ Apple "strongly" recommends installing iOS beta software on secondary devices rather than primary ones. Here's why. The iOS 11 beta is pre-release software which means it's an unfinished product. As such, it's riddled with bugs and various issues. You could also brick your device. The current list of iOS 11 beta problems includes issues with first and third-party apps, sound issues, random reboots, lag on older devices, abnormal battery drain, busted apps, Wi-Fi, and more. The latest iOS 11 beta, iOS 11 beta 10, is a little more stable than the previous version but it's not immune to problems. Far from it. It's plagued with a number of frustrating issues. The iOS 11 beta has the potential to do more than just annoy you. It could impact a trip, a business meeting, or your schoolwork. Some people might be able to handle the iOS 11 beta (and its issues) on a primary device but most people can't.

I’ve installed the developer beta on an iPhone, and it’s working adequately, but when the public beta comes out I’ll want to switch to that instead. In order to move successfully from a developer beta to the public beta, how should I prepare? For example, should I delete the developer beta profile before enrolling in the public beta program and downloading the public beta profile? Will bad things happen to my phone if I do this — or will bad things happened to my phone if I DON’T delete the developer beta profile, but I just install the public beta profile over it? Please let me know what is best.

The IOS 11 Beta left my iPhone 7+’s home screen unresponsive, meaning nothing would open, not settings, nothing. I restored the phone, but seriously Apple? Food for thought.
