4 Reasons Not to Install iOS 17.7 & 11 Reasons You Should
Install for iPhone 12 Wireless Charging Upgrade
Last year, Apple enabled 15W wireless charging speeds with Qi2 chargers on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 via the iOS 17.2 update. The iPhone 15 series already had support when it launched which left the iPhone 12 models as the only MagSafe capable models without support for fast charging when using Qi2. Well, that quietly changed with the release of iOS 17.4. According to Macworld, iOS 17.4 delivered support for 15W wireless charging with Qi2 on the iPhone 12 series. Apple hasn't confirmed, but it's been tested and it's there. iPhone 12 users who missed iOS 17.6.1, iOS 17.6, iOS 17.5.1, iOS 17.5, iOS 17.4.1 and iOS 17.4 now have a great reason to download iOS 17.7.
