4 Reasons Not to Install macOS Sonoma 14.5 & 11 Reasons You Should
Don't Install If You're Worried About Issues
If you're having an excellent experience on your current version of macOS, and macOS Sonoma 14.5 doesn't blow you away and/or you're nervous about it potentially hurting your Mac's performance, you might want to wait. macOS Sonoma 14.5 is an important upgrade, but the software is causing problems for some Mac users. The current list of macOS Sonoma problems includes abnormal battery drain, issues with first and third-party applications, Bluetooth problems, Wi-Fi problems, installation issues, UI lag, and a variety of other issues. If these issues concern you, you might want to stay on your current version and wait for the next version of macOS Sonoma. Apple recently put a new macOS Sonoma 14.6 update into beta testing. We expect the software to move out in July.

I have a 2019 27″ iMAC with an i5 processor- not cutting edge but hey. Sonoma 14.4 gives me new problems: 1). If I put a windows App on full screen the top of the pages dissapears behind the Apple conterol bar such that I can no longer access the windows tabs. 2). Also If I (Command Shift 4) to copy a screen image to e.g. paste into eMail then the dreaded spinning spectrum of hung system comes up every time. Not impressed with the new Op-system so far!
