If you want the best iPhone camera, you'll have to go with the iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max. That said, the iPhone XR's camera is going to be good enough for most people. The iPhone XS' dual lens system delivers 2X optical zoom which lets you shoot outstanding Portrait Mode photos with blurred backgrounds. Apple's iPhone XR only comes with a single rear lens, but it still shoots outstanding photos and videos and comes with all of the bells and whistles an amateur photographer needs. The list of iPhone XR rear camera features includes Portrait mode with advanced bokeh and depth control, portrait lighting with three effects (Natural, Studio, Contour), auto image stabilization, optical image stabilization, 4K video recording, and digital zoom up to 5x. The iPhone XR's Camera app doesn't support Portrait Mode for anything other than human subjects, but there are third party apps that unlock those features. As for the front-facing camera, the iPhone XR features a 7MP lens that's going to be perfect for FaceTime calls with friends, family, and co-workers. It works with Animoji and Memoji and it also includes Smart HDR for photos. Most people are going to be perfectly fine with the iPhone XR's camera setup.
