If you haven't gone hands-on with the competition yet make sure you do that before you commit to the iPhone XR. There are a ton of excellent iPhone XR alternatives on the market right now. The iPhone SE 2, iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 are great options if you want to stick with an iPhone. You also might want to look at the iPhone X and iPhone 11. If you don't mind leaving Apple's ecosystem, you might want to take a look at the Galaxy S20 or the Galaxy S10e.
