If you don't want to pay full price for the AirPower you'll likely have to wait for deals.
Apple hasn't confirmed AirPower pricing yet, but we expect the device to land somewhere between $140 and $200. That puts it on the pricier side of wireless charging solutions. If you absolutely want to buy Apple's first-party solution over a third-party solution, but don't want to pay full price, you'll likely have to wait awhile. We don't expect any major AirPower deals to emerge around its launch date. We'd expect the first batch of deals to emerge months after the release once the hype has died down.
If Apple manages to get the device out in 2019, we'd expect the best deals to emerge in the fall around Black Friday and the holidays. And if AirPower launches in late 2019, we'd expect the absolute best deals to fall in 2020. We should also see deals on third-party wireless charging solutions once AirPower comes out as companies try to stay competitive.
