Wait for S Pen Improvements

Samsung almost always tweaks its S Pen stylus and you can expect the Galaxy S22's version to include some upgrades.

The Galaxy S21 series is the first Galaxy S series to support the company's S Pen stylus. Unsurprisingly, it looks like the Galaxy S22 will support the S Pen as well.

According to Korean outlet Pulse, industry sources claim the Galaxy S22 series will indeed be backed by the S Pen. Another report out of Korea, this one from The Elec, backs this up.

Leaker Ice Universe claims the Galaxy S22 will "become the Note" in that it will come with a built-in S Pen. He also says the appearance is the "same as the Note20 U style."

This information has been corroborated by Dutch site GalaxyClub. The site says it can "confirm the existence of a so-called 'S Pen detector' for the S22 Ultra." This part detects if a device's S Pen is in its designated space.

Another leak hints at improved latency.

We should also see some S Pen software upgrades as well. We'll let you know when we learn more.

It's worth noting that another 2022 Galaxy flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, will apparently shun the S Pen. This isn't set it stone, Samsung will reportedly finalize its plans in March, but it's something to keep an eye on if you like Samsung's stylus.
