As we mentioned above, the big screen has small bezels. However, others on the market do it a little better. The Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, iPhone X and others come to mind. Those have nearly no bezels at all, curved edges, and look beautiful.
And while Google's new Pixel 2 XL looks great too, the bezels aren't as small as expected. The black bars on the top and bottom of the phone actually serve a purpose. Inside of each one is a big, loud stereo speaker. Millions of people watch YouTube, Netflix, or play games daily on their smartphone. Google doesn't want you covering up the speakers with your hand, or cupping the speaker if you want to hear your content.
