Another feature you'll love is water-resistance. In recent years most buyers have come to expect it, and Google delivered. 

Having a phone that's splash and water-resistance adds some piece of mind that is priceless. Knowing your phone won't die from a little water is a big deal. However, the level of water-resistance is something you need to understand. 

Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL feature an IP67 dust and water-resistance rating. This means they can go under about 3 feet of water for 15-30 minutes and work just fine. This matches the iPhone water-resistance levels. And while it's not as high as the IP68-rating on the Galaxy S8 (5 ft for 30 minutes) it's enough to keep the phone safe in case of an accident.
