9 Features We Want from the iOS 9 Release
Smarter iPhone Automation

Apple includes NFC and the ability to use iBeacons in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but the use is still very limited. In iOS 9 it would be great to see Apple use all the information it can gather from these sensors, your location, the time and your calendar to deliver smarter automation. The ability to set a work, car and home profile that automatically switches based on your location, activity and either NFC or an iBeacon in your car, or even the Bluetooth connection to your car, would be great. When at work the iPhone changes to a normal ringtone and when it sees a meeting during the day it will silence your iPhone for that period. On the drive home the iPhone automatically switches to a car mode with a louder ringer and sends text alerts to the Bluetooth system for you. After you get home or you are out the iPhone could switch to your preferred ringtone and it wouldn't silence the ringer for calendar events outside of your specified work times so you don't miss calls when you are at a birthday party you put on your calendar. If developers can tie into this awareness it could trigger other automation activities.
