This is a great review of potential iPad Pro cases. It’s interesting that only a couple have built in a way of securing the Apple Pencil. There’s a great little accessory called PencilMate which attaches the Apple Pencil to the iPad Pro which I’m using at the moment. It works with a couple of these cases too. It will be interesting to see what other case designs accommodate the Apple Pencil in the future.

Be aware… screen sleep/awake function will not work on initial batches of production. This feature will be added on in later release.

I bought the Smart Cover and base. Pro 9.7 I wish Apple had made a smart case like previous models. The two combined are very expensive and I found it disappointing. I do love the smart case which is why I went for both covers. The stand is always collapsing on me. I maybe should have taken it back but didn’t, now I’m sorry. I will keep using it until I find an equivalent, but just feel Apple have ripped people off here making two separate pieces. So just a warning. It could very well be I just got a dud, but not game enough to try again, yet I love the Apple smart case. Hope they review this.

I have a leather case from Strotter for my 9.7 Ipad Pro. Very different from the rest. Awesome but expensive. Made in italy.
