Airline applications used to be horrendous, but their user interfaces have improved over the years. Some companies still have work to do, but overall they're much better than they were a few years ago.
If you haven't downloaded it already, we highly recommend downloading the apps for the airlines you fly the most. For one, they'll help you track your flight and provide you with updated boarding times which is nice if you often fret about space for your luggage or getting a good seat. You can also use most airline apps as your boarding pass which can save you a ton of time if you're in a rush to the airport. Airport kiosk lines at major airports are sometimes long and there's always a chance a machine malfunctions.
Most apps allow you to add your boarding pass to Wallet on iOS, Google Now if you're running Android, for easy access. If you happen to have a Known Traveler Number for TSA Pre-Check or PASSID Global Entry, you can quickly add that to your trip if you forgot to do it when you paid for your flight.
If you're feeling stressed out make sure you have your Notifications turned on. That way you'll know about a change to your flight right away. |
