5 Best Car Chargers for the Google Pixel
Belkin 15w USB Type-C Charger
![]() | ||||||
Right on the Google Store certified for use with the Pixel is Google's accessory parter, Belkin. It only puts out 15w of power, but that's more than enough for the fastest speeds possible out of one port. This is a great all around USB Type-C charger, with a built in cable so it will never get lost. The only issue is it won't work with older micro-USB devices that friends or family may use. However, it's what Google recommends and can be bought at the link below. Buy it Now on Google Store for $34.99

Its not possible to have a charger which fits both USB-C and Quick Charge standards as both have conflicting standards – also the AUKEY USB-C wire sold on amazon does not meet correct USB-C standards – beware this product may not be good for your phone

What about Elephone car chargers? At Geekbuying they’re really cheap.

You state that the Tronsmart car charger will charge the Pixel at the fastest possible speed, but that is not correct. Per the Google Doc shared by Benson and Nathan, it does not charge the Pixel at the full 18W speed, as it only supports 5V/3A, and to charge the Pixel at full speed it would need to be able to charge at 9V/2A. That is one of the reasons they rated this charger a +1 on a scale of -3 to +3.
Here is the Google doc spreadsheet for reference: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vnpEXfo2HCGADdd9G2x9dMDWqENiY2kgBJUu29f_TX8/pubhtml#

So as of 2016-12-24, there are no fully approved 12volt car chargers. That’s disturbing.
