On July 1st the Sprint HTC One M9 started receiving Android 5.1 Lollipop, the first carrier in the United States to deliver the latest update for HTC's flagship smartphone. HTC and Sprint both confirmed the OTA updates would start on July 1st, and by now everyone should have received it.
We received a tip on Monday that a few owners had yet to see the over the air update, but at this point it should be done and finished after two weeks of rolling out. Those with a Sprint HTC One M9 should head into settings > about phone > and manaully check for, download, and install the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. According to Sprint the changes are Android Lollipop 5.1, Data Performance Improvements, Call Drop Improvements, Battery Life Enhancements, Temperature Management Optimization and Camera Enhancements. How is Android 5.1 treating your HTC One M9? Drop us a comment below if all the issues have been fixed, or if you're still experiencing problems.

My wife has tried several times to do the update (AT&T version). Hers is evidently one of the few who fail to update because of a missing file.
