Watch for long iOS 10 download times on release day. 

It's an old tale. Apple's servers get slammed right when an update is released and iPhone and iPad users are unable to get the software installed. We expect there to be some problems during the initial rush to iOS 10. 

If you don't need iOS 10 right away, you'll want to check in on the morning of September 13th and see how people are doing.

If download problems do pop up like we expect, you'll want to hold off for a few hours and let Apple's servers settle down. Download issues typically get resolved an hour or two after the initial rush.
