iOS 11 Beta Release & Time: 7 Things to Expect & 5 Things Not To
Don't Expect iOS 11 to Be Alone
Don't expect the iOS 11 beta to be the only beta released in early June. Look for the company to dedicate some of its June 5th keynote to a new version of macOS. We don't know what to expect from the macOS 10.13 update itself but we do expect it to be named after a famous landscape in California. We also expect to see the company announce a new watchOS for Apple Watch and a new version of tvOS for Apple TV. If this happens, and we'd be surprised if it didn't, we'd expect Apple to release macOS, watch OS, and tvOS betas alongside the iOS 11 beta. Remember, in order to use the watchOS beta, you'll have to download the iOS beta. And if you want to use any cross-platform features Apple announces on stage during WWDC, you'll need to have the appropriate betas installed in order to use them ahead of launch. Apple is also reportedly prepping updates to the iPad Pro line and its MacBook line. Rumors also point to the arrival of a brand new Siri speaker to compete with Google Home and Amazon's Echo series.
