iOS 9 Beta Release: 5 Things To Know Now

How to Get the iOS 9 Beta | ||||||
There are three main ways to try the iOS 9 beta and gain access to the new iOS 9 features before the release date later this fall. The official method to get day-one access to iOS 9 downloads and install the beta on your iPhone or iPad is to pay $99 to become a registered Apple iOS developer. This is a one-year subscription that is designed for users who plan to make apps for the iPhone or iPad. You do not need to make an app or prove that you want to make an app to register. With the $99 fee you can register 100 devices to your account that can use the iOS 9 beta. Another official method is a public iOS 9 beta that may arrive after several developer betas. It is not clear how this will work for users who are not already part of the public iOS beta testing system, but it wouldn't be shocking to see Apple open up more space. This is free, but we don't know exactly when it will start or the exact details about joining it. IMZDL and other services offer a way to buy access to the iOS 9 beta at a cheaper rate. This is a UDID registration service that links your iPhone or iPad to an official developer account for $8. You'll need to do this once for each device you want to use the iOS 9 beta on. IMZDL offers a tool on their home page to show your UDID or you can use an app like UDID Sender on the app store. | ||||||

Always used iOSReg.com to register my UDID for past iOS betas. Highly recommend them, cheaper than iMZDL and took seconds – they have an automated system!

Used a few UDID registration services in the past including https://iosreg.com last year. Provided a great service! As UDID reg is only a few $s I will be doing the same this year even though there may be a public beta.

I didn’t even use the UDID registration. just downloaded firmware from a website and installed it and it worked great.
