iPhone X Pre-Orders & Release Date: 4 Things to Expect & 3 Not To
Don't Expect Ample Stock at Retailers

Apple and its retail partners might hold some iPhone X stock back for the November 3rd release date, but we don't expect any stores to have much on release day. The iPhone X will almost certainly sell out ahead of its release date which means we could see some long lines at retail stores on the morning of November 3rd. Last year, Apple stores were completely sold out of all Jet Black iPhone 7 models and all iPhone 7 Plus models (all colors) on release day. At this point, we'd be shocked if Apple stores and popular retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart had a ton of iPhone X stock available on release day. At the very least, expect stock to be uneven. If there is any stock, you can expect it to be unevenly distributed. What we mean is that while one Best Buy store might have some 64GB iPhone X stock, it might not have any 256GB stock. If you skip pre-orders you might not get the iPhone X model you want.
