We see two major upgrades to Madden Ultimate Team in Madden 19. The first is a new Solo Battles feature designed with the single player in mind and the second is an upgrade to MUT Squads that will allow you to play even harder challenges with friends at your side.
Madden Ultimate Team is a massive fantasy football inspired mode for Madden and it's where I spend most of my time in the game. I'm hopeful that there are more upgrades coming, but this is a good start for new Ultimate Team features in Madden 19. The new Solo Battles will allow you to play through a variety of daily single player challenges and compete against other solo players in a leaderboard system. There will be rewards based on performance, so if you get tired of grinding through all the other challenges this sounds like a nice place to play against others without going head to head. I'm a fan of the new Upgrade options that includes the use of training points to upgrade your players. This feels like a much easier way of upgrading your existing players without stepping too far away from Sets and other upgrade options.
The new MUT Squads feature allows you to use the same 3 v 3 setup, but instead of competing against three other players who might quit, you can play the computer. You will face tougher challenges and everyone will get rewards. |
