Apple brought many apps to the Mac with Mojave using Marzipan, which is a fancy way of saying they coded some popular iOS apps for the Mac.
With macOS Catalina, this trend continues. Apple offers up a new Music app and a new Podcasts app for Mac. They also are redesigning the Books app to make it look more like Apple News on the Mac. If you live in these apps on your iPhone and iPad, and you are using the iOS 13 beta, it is a good idea to install the macOS 10.15 beta today to see how these apps work on your Mac. |

Catalina has been nightmare for me. Even though I was connected to wifi I could not open any browser all of which insisted that I was not connected to the internet. I got no help from Apple to resolve this problem, in fact I was told that nothing could be done and I would have to live with it. After spending a whole day talking to ‘geniuses’ and some over the phone ‘support’ staff I suggested that they restore the Mac Book Pro to Mojave. They agreed to do this but said it would take about 48 hours to resolve. I spent over $6,000 on this laptop and all I have goto is a piece of junk.
