The watchOS 6 update adds support for a new App Store on your Apple Watch. This is brand new and it lets you find apps right from your watch and install them immediately. It's not as feature-packed as the App Store on your iPhone, but it's a nice addition. 

After you install this update, you can search through the App Store on the Apple Watch with dictation or scribbles. After you find the app you want, you can download it directly to your Apple Watch over WiFi or through your phone's connection. 

With the watchOS 6.2 update, you can now make in-app purchases in the app on your Apple Watch. 

You can even update Apple Watch apps on your Apple Watch from the App Store settings. If you love to use your Apple Watch on its own this is a handy feature and it should help you find new Apple Watch apps that you like.
