Samsung Android Pie Release: 6 Things to Expect & 3 Not To
Don't Expect Android Pie in November
Google managed to push Android Pie out a little bit early this year, but that doesn't mean Android Pie will arrive for Galaxy devices tomorrow. Samsung's working on the Galaxy S9 Pie update, but the software is currently in a crude state and it's nowhere near complete With a beta on the way, the finished product is probably a few months away from a global release. Rumors have pointed to an official release in January, 2019, but plans could obviously change. According to Google, devices that "participated in the Beta program from Sony Mobile, Xiaomi, HMD Global, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus and Essential, as well as all qualifying Android One devices, will receive this update by the end of this fall." As for companies like Samsung, Google says it's "also working with a number of other partners to launch or upgrade devices to Android 9 this year." If Samsung's able to get Android Pie out this year, and that's still a big if, it's probably coming much later in the year.
