Connect Your iPad Pro to a TV

The iPad Pro can connect to a TV or a projector quite easily. This is useful if you want to present to a small group of people, or if you just want to watch a movie on a bigger screen while away from home. 

You can use a Lightning to HDMI adapter to connect to any device with an HDMI port. This makes the most sense for traveling. You'll need the adapter and a short HDMI cable. Simply plug it into your iPad and into the TV and your iPad is connected. 

Another option is to buy an Apple TV for your office or home. With the Apple TV connected you can use AirPlay to stream your iPad wirelessly to your Apple TV and onto your TV. It's a handy way to connect your iPad to your TV at home, but not as practical for travel. 

If you have a Vizio TV from 2016 or newer, or you buy a new model from Vizio, Samsung and LG you will be able to use AirPlay 2 without buying an Apple TV. Check the specific models to make sure it works with the TV you plan to buy.
