While there is a lot of attention on Apple's mobile products and the sleek iMac, there are a lot of people waiting for a new Mac Mini 2014 update.

The last time Apple updated the Mac Mini was 2012, and in tech terms that is quite a while. Since then Apple announced several MacBook Air updates, a new iMac and a new Mac Pro, but this small desktop is still lingering, demanding an update.

Despite one rumor that suggested a Mac Mini 2014 update was destined for February, we are still waiting for a reliable rumor to arrive. An analyst roadmap did not include a Mac Mini update, but it also did not include the timing for the Macbook Air 2014 refresh, so it is possible that the exclusion simply means we are in for a small update.

If we do see a Mac Mini 2014 release there is a potential for a smaller design, though the integrated power supply could ultimately rule that out. Other rumored features include Intel Haswell processors, Iris Graphics, 802.11ac WiFi and the potential for Thunderbolt 2 ports.
